All she wanted to do was have some fun and in 1994, Sheryl Crow got her wish and more. Her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, released a year earlier, languished in the charts until the third single, “All I Wanna Do,” suddenly became the “it” song playing on just about every pop and radio station across the country.
Born in Kennett, Missouri on February 11, 1962, Crow began her career teaching music to elementary school children during the day and singing in various local bands at night. One evening, she was introduced to local musician and producer Jay Oliver, who offered her a gig writing jingles, some of which, including one for McDonald’s, would prove to be highly lucrative.
Crow also caught the attention of Michael Jackson, who offered her a spot singing back up vocals on his Bad World Tour from 1987 to 1989. In 1990, Crow recorded the song “Hundreds of Tears,” which was included on the soundtrack to the film Point Break, and a year later sang a duet with Kenny Loggins on “I Would Do Anything” from his album Leap of Faith.

Tuesday Night Music Club shot Crow into the stratosphere of rock and roll stardom, producing a slew of hit singles, including “Run, Baby, Run,” “Leaving Las Vegas,” “Can’t Cry Anymore,” and “Strong Enough.” The album eventually reached number three on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts and has subsequently sold close to six million units. Crow’s self-titled sophomore effort was darker in tone, but garnered similar acclaim, reaching number six on the album charts and sending “Home,” “If It Makes You Happy,” “A Change Would Do You Good,” and “Everyday is a Winding Road” to the top of charts. Among its many awards, the album was also named by Entertainment Weekly magazine as number 39 in their list of Top 100 Best Albums of the past 25 years.
Nine more studio and compilation albums have since followed, along with over a dozen additional hit singles, numerous Grammy nominations, and several wins. When she’s not recording or packing concert halls, Crow is involved in a number of charitable endeavors and is busy raising her adopted son, Wyatt Steven Crow.
Crow is currently touring to support her new album, 100 Miles From Memphis, along with opening act, Colbie Caillat. This young singer-songwriter from Malibu, California made her musical debut in 2007 with the album, Coco, which produced the hit singles “Bubbly,” “Realize,” and “The Little Things.” Her 2009 album, Breakthrough earned her a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 52nd Grammy Awards. That same year she was also nominated for Best Pop Collaboration for her work on Jason Mraz’s “Lucky,” her background vocals and writing on Taylor Swift’s Breathe, and was part of the group that won Album of the Year for her background vocals and writing on Taylor Swift's Fearless.
Don’t miss this unprecedented opportunity to see both an established and up-and-coming musical legend rock the Sandia Resort & Casino Amphitheater in one night.
